The Intruders Foundation Presents THE 1999 UFO ABDUCTION CONFERENCE -WHAT WE KNOW AND HOW WE KNOW IT- On Saturday, April 10, 1999, New York City will be the site of a day-long national conference on the UFO abduction phenomenon. Four of America's most respected UFO researchers - Budd Hopkins, Stanton Friedman, David Jacobs, and Jerome Clark - will welcome the public to a cutting-edge presentation of current evidence for the reality and possible future of Aien abductions. The conference will be held at the O. Henry Learning Center, at 333 West 17th Street in Manhattan, and will start at 10 AM (doors will open at 9:00 am for registration). Admission to all events is $60 purchased in advance or $80 at the door. Admission for senior citizens and students is $45 in advance and $60 at the door. For tickets and further information phone the Intruders Foundation, 212 645-5278; or send a check payable to: Intruders Foundation PO Box 30233 New York, NY 10011 NOTE: If you plan to pay in advance, please try to send your payment prior to April 3rd. Thank you! The conference is planned as both a crash course in the ongoing UFO abduction phenomenon - what we know and how we know it - and an illustrated presentation of the latest research findings. At 10:00 a.m. proceedings begin with a lecture by nuclear physicist and internationally known investigator Stanton Friedman. Mr. Friedman, author of Crash at Corona and Top Secret/Majic, will present a range of scientific evidence in support of the theoretical presence of extraterrestrial life and the ability for technologically advanced societies to travel between solar systems. The second lecture will be given by Jerome Clark, veteran researcher and author of the masterful, virtually indispensable two-volume UFO Encyclopedia as well as other numerous important books and articles. Mr. Clark will present a concise history of the abduction phenomenon, with special attention to significant but little known aspects of such seminal cases as those of Betty and Barney Hill, Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker, and Travis Walton. Documentary filmmaker Carol Rainey will draw on her own media experience in an exploration of how the mainstream media treats the subject of UFO abductions. In a lecture packed with video clips, Rainey will discuss why the media often either ignores or misrepresents the phenomenon. She includes a behind-the-scenes look at the making of a controversial PBS "NOVA" program, "Kidnapped by UFOs?," which featured Budd Hopkins, John Mack, and John Velez. Pioneer abduction researcher Budd Hopkins, author of Missing Time, Intruders (source of the CBS miniseries) and Witnessed - The True Story of the Brooklyn Bridge UFO Abductions. Mr. Hopkins will present his latest case findings, with special emphasis on witnessed UFO abductions and the issue of alleged Alien implants. His talk, like the others, will be illustrated by slides and videotapes. Dr. David Jacobs, distinguished Temple University historian and author of two trailblazing books on the abduction phenomenon - Secret Life and The Threat - will present the fifth lecture. Dr. Jacobs will discuss evidence he and other researchers have amassed which indicates a highly specific and disturbing Alien agenda and an answer to the central question: Why are they here? The final evening session will be an extended panel discussion moderated by the composer, journalist and UFO researcher Greg Sandow. Appearing along with Mr. Sandow will be the five speakers - David Jacobs, Budd Hopkins, Jerome Clark, Stanton Friedman and Carol Rainey - and two well known UFO abduction experiencers, Linda Cortile, and IF webmaster John Velez. Full audience participation will be encouraged in this final segment of what we believe will be an historic event. IF - Intruders Foundation P. O.
